Vacuum Level Calculations

Objective To calculate the vacuum level in inches of mercury in a vacuum system when the system Cv and flow are known.

Required Data System Cv and Flow in SCFM or nl/m.

System Cv - The coefficient of flow (Cv) for the system being evaluated.

Flow (SCFM)/(nl/m) - The flow through the vacuum system being evaluated.

Calculated Item Descriptions

Vacuum Level (inHg)/(torr) - The vacuum level in the system.
